ClariVue 20 Side-Scatter Turbidity Sensor Campbell Scientific
Turbidity sensors measure the amount of light that is scattered by the suspended solids in water. As the amount of total suspended solids (TSS) in water increases, the water’s turbidity level (and cloudiness or haziness) increases. Turbidity sensors are used in river and stream gaging, wastewater and effluent measurements, control instrumentation for settling ponds, sediment transport research, and laboratory measurements.
Overview
The ClariVue™20 is an ISO 7027-compliant, submersible, 90-degree, side-scatter turbidity sensor in a rugged titanium housing, making it the ideal choice for highly corrosive environments. The side-scatter turbidity measurement can be used as a surrogate for suspended sediment concentration (SSC) in aquatic ecosystems. The sensor returns data via SDI-12, analog, or Modbus to a data logger or controller for easy integration into your new or existing system.
Benefits and Features
- Accurate measurement of suspended solids and turbidity to the industry standard 4000 FNUs
- Field-proven performance and reliability in a compact, low-power probe
- Compatible with modern Campbell Scientific data loggers and third-party systems
- Titanium housing for long-term deployment in the harshest of environments
- Wet-mateable connector allows for flexible installation without the worry of water ingress
